Lots of Visitors

Well, we’ve been keeping busy with lots of visitors for the past few weeks.  My mom came the end of June and got to spend a little over a week with us.  I decided to get sick during that time and was totally unhospitable, so we all sat around reading and relaxing.  While she was here, my mom got to teach our ladies class.  She talked about Psalms 37 (mostly the first part of the chapter), about how we should be still and wait for God, His time, and His taking care of us and our worrys and troubles.  It was a great lesson that came at a great time for our congregation.

Chris, the preacher, and Lee, an elder at the Seminole congregation (that supports Giovanni), were our next visitors.  They also spent a little over a week with us.  Chris taught some great seminars for us on a wide range of topics (from Marriage to Church History).  Lee was able to join us in some of our usual work activities (and have a little fun too!).  We are so lucky to be supported by congregations that take a hands on interest in our work.  A report doesn’t share as much as seeing for yourself.

David got an 84 Jeep Land Cruiser last week.  It’s going to be his hobby and he is loving it!  He’s been playing with the 4 wheel drive (which we need since we’ve got many new members that live up difficult roads) and fixing it up.  I think he took some pictures, so we’ll try to get those up soon.  Ah, I did add some pictures of our recent activities too so you need to check out the gallery.
