Greetings! I hope everyone is doing well and avoiding colds from the weather which seems to always be changing. We are both keeping busy. David and I got a membership at the YMCA and are working to get into better shape. We know that Nicaragua will be a challenge for us physically and want to build up our strength.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of speaking about the mission plans in Nicaragua to the fifth graders at Edmond. We got to talk about the similarities and differences in the lives of the children there. We were very impressed with all of the questions and comments from the class. This experience just shows that evangelism and benevolence are works that can touch everyone, no matter what age.

This weekend, we have the joy of being able to go on a couples retreat with the Edmond congregation. Todd Catteau from the Park Avenue Church of Christ in Denison, TX will be our speaker.

Since the first of the year, we have been working in overtime to raise our start-up fund as we see the month of July quickly approaching. God has truly blessed us, and the congregations we have visited have all been so kind and generous. It is always very encouraging to see so much interest in the work we have planned, and we know that with the help of our supporters the people of Nicaragua will be exposed to the saving message of Christ.

We want to say a special thank you for the contributions you have made! Please keep us in your prayers that God will help us raise enough funds to not be hindered in what we can do in Nicaragua and that we will be successful in accomplishing our goals.
