Our mission plan combines three factors to accomplish our goals in Nicaragua.
Follow God and His Word

Fabian was baptized in June 2006
Since this work is dedicated to God, our first priority is to do everything according to his commandments, using the New Testament preachers and evangelists as our guide. God has given the command for His followers to preach His message to the world. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:18-20). In Acts 5:42 we learn that the apostles taught the good news of Jesus Christ not only in church services, but also from house to house. We also find that caring for the poor was of utmost importance to the apostles, and congregations even sent gifts across continents to help their less fortunate brethren (Acts 11:27-30).
The Church of Christ in Nicaragua
The church in Nicaragua has the goal to take the good news of Jesus Christ and His salvation to every home in Nicaragua. In 2004, they completed this in Managua, the capital city, home to over 2.5 million people, in an effort called “Plan Managua.”
In “Plan Nicaragua,” they expanded the work to the entire country. The church sends three teams of 15-20 evangelists to a city to complete a seven week program. Each team has a one week door-knocking campaign inviting the community to a gospel meeting, totaling three weeks of spreading the Word. The fourth week, the three teams meet together to hold the gospel meeting. The last three weeks, the teams do follow up with contacts and continuing Bible studies with new converts for one week each.

Heavenly Harvest Coffee
Maria Harvesting
Due to lack of funding, the combined evangelistic works of “Plan Nicaragua” have stopped. Heavenly Harvest Coffee will make it possible to begin again spreading the gospel in such an effective way and make Mission Nicaragua self-supporting. The coffee will be produced by our farm, and rather than selling the raw coffee to a middle-man, which gives only meager proceeds, we package and sell our coffee directly to the consumer in the States, maximizing our returns which are used exclusively to accomplish the goals listed below.
Currently, our personal financial support is contributed by the Edmond church of Christ. We pray that in two to four years Heavenly Harvest Coffee will be capable of covering our support so that the Edmond congregation can contribute to new missionaries spreading the gospel to a new area. Visit Heavenly Harvest Coffee’s website for more information.
Mission Nicaragua’s Goals
- Coordinate the tasks, prepare evangelists through Bible training, and lead the members in Plan Nicaragua.
- Set up the farm as a non-profit organization and bring the farm to the point of self-sufficiency.
- Use the farm as the focal point for Plan Nicaragua and for benevolence work.
- Sell the coffee as a means to support the evangelistic work in Nicaragua.
- Hold daily classes and activities for both adults and children on the farm.
- Host benevolence, door knocking, and building campaigns from the U.S.
- Organize a church garden on the farm to help the poor during the difficult dry season.
- Create steady jobs in this country which suffers from 70% unemployment and pay fair wages to all of our workers.

The work of Mission Nicaragua is three-fold: share the Gospel to the lost, edify the church, and help the poor in the country of Nicaragua.
